My favorites:

Pink head, white chenile body, white marabou tail - all around good water conditions. My favorite on the Skykomish

Pink head, pink marabou or rabbit - Colored water and/or nate fishing. For the nates I like to make the jig a little larger. The rabbit makes for a larger profile as well.

White head, red chenile body, black marabou tail (Cowlitz River nightmare) Works everywhere, not just the Cowlitz, in just about any water conditions. Try the combo with pink and peach chenile as well.

To fill out the jig box, some orange and peach colors mixed with white or black and I'm ready for just about any conditions.

Just about all of my steelhead jigs are light - 1/16th to 1/8th oz. I generally don't run greater than 8lb test, except when nate fishing. If you run heavier line, you likely need heavier jigs to get down, stay down, and dance. Line diameter can really affect the movement of the jig, especially in deeper, slower pools and runs, so go as light as conditions will allow.
