I've had good luck on the Nightmare with middle section colors in different shades of red/orange/pink. Another jig that has produced for me is a pink or orange head, bright red/orange body, with a clerice tail (which works well in high and medium flows). This past fall an all brown jig was nailing the silvers below the barrier dam. I tie my own and field test them--many that don't produce are stripped and retied with a different color. I've fished 1/16 to 1/4 ounce heads and found Gammie hooks to be expensive but excellent. If it's snaggy or I don't know the drift I'll run a cheaper Eagle claw through it first. It certainly is a fun way to fish!
