Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. Guess I'm w**king too much lately. To answer your question, I rig the pink worm just like in Bob's tips then crimp a small split shot on the leader just above it. The Berkley Power Worms in Bubble Gum Pink seem to be the favorite. As a final touch, soak your worms in shrimp oil or put a dab of shrimp flavored smelly jelly in the bag with them.
UMMM GOOOOD!!!
The fish just slam these and won't let go.
Also, I've been riging this setup with #1 or #2 GAMMIE OCTOPUS.
Works for me! Hope that helps.
See ya on the river sometime.
Almost forgot, this rig works equaly well with or without a float. Lately I've been making my own floats out of 1" backer rod.
Just cut a piece about 4" long ang shove a plastic coffee stir stick up the middle. A dab of silicone retains the stir stick. Use a rubber band for a bobber stopper or buy comercial stoppers, whatever. The grey backer rod kind of blends in with overcast skys.
Later.............
