Lately the hot rig for me has been a Leo's style jig, red beads and chartreuse yarn tail fished around 18" below a float. Fish have been holding in the soft edges close to shore near the head of the riffles. Got a nice native buck around ten pounds near Voight's Creek on Sunday afternoon. Lost a very large fish later in the same area. Never saw the fish but it was much stronger than the fifteen pounder I got last weekend.before. One more tip, try tipping your jig with a small piece of prawn meat. I like to dye mine pink with Beau Mac pro glo bait coloring. C & R!!!
