Wow, lots of glass boat questions lately. We did some paint touch-up work on the glass boat we just sold. Pretty minor stuff but it was an eye opener about how any product with the word "marine" in it means double the cost. Our painting was on the outside so it might not make as much of a difference as on the inside.

Anyway, the guy at West Marine said you should use special paint designed to take to fiberglass and not hurt it. Any marine supply store has it.

Of course, a quart of this special paint cost $35 when all I really wanted to do was to pick up a $5 can of black spray paint and have at it. Maybe I could have done that. Maybe the boat store guy saw me coming. Just be prepared. That ugly green color might not be so bad after all.

One other thing, don't buy any of your painting supplies (sandpaper, sandpaper blocks, brushes) at the marine store. The same sanding block I got for $1.99 at Freddies was $6 at West Marine. Honest.

Good luck.
