I use nail knots. It's easy to tie up a bunch on a stir stick or some other hollow plastic tube and that's a real handy way to carry them for quick replacement. I tie them with mono. One note - be careful sliding these up and down your main line. If you move them in a quick zip up your line, the friction heat will abraid your line. Just adjust them slowly enough not to create this problem. Otherwise, these work really well.
