Fishing below Beacon Rock is still great fishing for Columbia River marlin. Now is a great time with the arrival of the shad (keep an eye on the dam count) and the spawn. Be warned though!! This is very heavy water - much faster water than down by the coast. Stub rods and 24 - 40 oz of lead. You will also need a breakaway rock anchor and lots of rope. I use 300ft. and sometimes wish i had more. A guy can get into real trouble real fast with one small brain fart!. Fish out of the "Fishery" on the Oregon side where a ramp and bait are available, as swell as a map. And when ya get one of those mothers on.WwoooooooOOOOOOWWW Hang On!!
