My sister and I would get up at 6:30 every Saturday just to watch cartoons. We had a portable black and white TV with a six inch screen and we'd get a bunch of pillows and blankets and lie on the floor about a foot from the screen.

Big Bunny, The Pink Panther, The Ant and Aardvark, The Road Runner... there were lots of others but you can probably tell that Warner Bros were my favorite. I had a great uncle that was an animator, he directed some episodes and his wife painted the cells. I got to meet Fritz Freeling and had some memorabilia. Hearing that it has been cancelled just make me sad for kids today. Innocence and having fun just doesn't seem to fit into the agenda anymore.

In the legend of King Arthur, the Fisher King was a renowned angler whose errant ways caused him to be struck dumb in the presence of the sacred chalice. I am no great fisherman, and a steelhead is not the covenant of Christ, but with each of these fish I am rendered speechless.
