we had a 1998 alumaweld 16 foot center console supervee lite with a 90 horse honda 4 stroke jet. no matter what we did that boat would not get up on plane. we ended up putting a mercury 115 hp jet or what is commonly known as a 80 jet on the boat. this bigger 2 stroke was a huge difference. the honda just lugged out and could never seem to get enough rpm to get out of the hole. i have still not seen many 4 stoke jets on the klamath river in california. hope this helps.
