Here's a record that will never be beaten.

On January 19, 1974, the UCLA Bruins lost a basketball game to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 71–70. It ended a streak of 88 consecutive victories, which coincidentally began after losing to Notre Dame almost three years earlier on January 19, 1971.

I remember this winning streak being broken like it was yesterday.

That's right up there with Pete Rose's hits record and Joes 56 game hitting streak or Nolan Ryans 7 no hitters.
