Well, it finally happened to me. Got a text message fraud alert on my Cabelas card. It was being used in Texas and Florida. Called them and reported it. They closed the card and told me I would be investigated to determine whether or not I made the purchases. They claim they will make a determination in 3 weeks. I thought credit card companies were better to deal with about fraud issues. I never even use that card except when I shop at Cabelas for the points. So now I am writing a letter to document the disputed charges and filing a police report. Any advice from those who have been through this would be appreciated.
