I also read Garcia's post, and I just don't understand how you came to that conclusion, his first sentence stated that "My white privilege started with 2 parents in the home that stressed education and hard work." In that sentence he called his 2 parent family and the values they instilled in him white privilege. He then segways to the concept of starting your carreer at the bottom and working your way up. At least that's the way I read it.
