Had a first time shooter out this weekend. He had never shot anything over a bb gun, ever. Working him up from pistols through 9MM AR's took very little time, and then he started shooting my Savage 5R in .308. Ran through 100-400 yards very quickly, and his first shot at the 600 yard target, BONG! Hunter, my son, went 9/12 at 600, and said shooter error was why he missed those three.

I'm sure these R Brothers Custom Rifles would easily be able to do that as well, but after rebate my rifle cost me $299.

Agreed 100%. The only time I would consider dropping that much coin would be for a specialty truly LR weapon. .408 Cheytac or something like that. Modern MFG is allowing for really great shooting, 1 MOA or better rifles for under $500. That's all you really need for a working field gun / tool.
