Gotta agree with everyone else! Cataracts are the way to go. Recently purchased my second set from Sportco in Fife. Had no intention of having 2 sets but was down there one day and fell in love with the blue shafts.........now I have a set of 9.5 footers and a set of 9's.

Cataracts. I've been beating the tar out of mine and they still look new.

Wow! I never realized there were some many Cataract fans. I used them for years from a Koffler and thought they were a great oar. I am now fishing Sawyer MX-G's from my Willie and like them too. I like the float-ability of the Cat's, but I think I like the row-ability of the Sawyer's even more.

I have an old and completely abused pair of Cataracts that I just finished replacing the rotten wood handles on. Believe me when I say these things are strong! I thought I was going to have to cut the end off to get the old rotten handles out of them. I pried, bent, drilled and basically beat the crap out of these oars. I would have never believed this material would flex and rebound like it did. I would never, ever, buy any other oar.

Hmmm, all I can say is I agree with all above. Cataracts!!!!!! I have three pair. I have a pair of 6 1/2 footers on my steelheader and two pairs of 8ft's on my 16ft cataraft (these oars are almost 10 years old). They are in excellent shape stilll and I've beat the crap out of them.

And as he said above, B. Grey, send me the email that can get me cataracts cheap. I want to buy a pair of 9 or 10 footers.

thanks Jerry
