Salmo is right about the sampling here on the green/duwamish we have a state guy here every day.Sampling our fish at 95% rate. Now that is,nt just steelhead thats coho, chinook, chum everything. But it is,nt to just keep an eye on the natives. It,s called good management&cooperation with each other for them resource!!You all say get your nets out the fish will come back.Well we quit fishing Lk. Wash. steelhead because they were getting kinda low. That was 14 years ago!!!There is less fish now than when we quit fishing. And no it was,nt because we let them get to low.By the way were fishing 3 days a week on the green.

When you look at a river and see a handful of mono gillnets strung across it killing everything that gets tangled in them that is rape. If you want to analize this sentence in a long paragraph go ahead but the bottom line is the bottom line and Im sure not the only one on this board that feels this way about tribal netting or tribal raping would be a better term.

Fish Wheels.......Could be a major influence on keeping the "wild fish" from being caught, either by "gill net or legal sport fishing".

Install in lower part of the rivers, catch and truck all wild fish to upper part of the rivers. Allow no netting below the fish wheels. Sport and gill netting on the the hatchery fish.
