I always make it a point to wear a good wading belt, but finding that has been a challenge. I was using these and I like the elasticity and convenience of the velcro and felt same in them, but they tear and the quality just isn't there. DryCase Belt

So I'm on the hunt again ,and being a bank maggot I need something that will stay tight and last. I dislike buckles. Surprised their aren't more options for us fishermen in waders.

Very durable.
The one I have now has help up to at least 10 years of heavy use in the salt.

Thanks for the suggestions guys yeah Nate I was eyeballing the simms but it has the buckles which interferes with my bait fishing system off the bank. I think for the time being the dry case belt will work I will just have to reinforce it through stitchery. I'll keep looking around. That back saver is nice though and I may check it out.

Is it stretchy? I surf fish a lot and it gets gnarly so I need that sucker TIGHT lol. Not really funny actually a guy died in the surf not long ago when his daughter got pulled on a raft from tidewater into the ocean. Respect the water. It can happen in an instant.

the back magic one is a hook and loop style, so no buckle.... just expensive...

Spoonheadned check out that dry case belt. It's 2 inches wide, works perfect in a bait box loop,I use the flambeau ones when I bank it,and I just stitched he ones I have up with doubled up 8 strand braid. It'ss work. The neoprene tore at the seams which means their stitching was crappy. The outer binding is sweet. These have been the best I can find for my needs and they are only 10 bucks a pop. I got several seasons out of them and probably can just maintain them but it never hurts to see what others are doing. I'm gonna check out Evos suggestion. Plus this board could use more happy discussions lol

NVM just like all simms products it's priced twice as much as it's worth.

that was designed by orthopedic surgeons, so its not just your average wading belt...

Check out a Dacor weight belt for scuba diving...it's pretty wide but fits my bait boxes and provides a good deal of back support, far and away the best belt I have ever had

I like the metal buckle ones like this
dacor belts

Yes, stretchy but you can make it as tight as you’d like with the adjustment.

The belt I got with my Simms headwaters has a slim buckle that easily slides through a box loop. Easily adjustable.
About 2 in wide. I love it.

A friend suggested looking at a “gait belt” used in a hospital or nursing home to help support unstable patients. No metal, wide, and with a simple lock.
