Just picked-up a Bauer MX3 Titanium, just wondering if anyone else has fished this reel, and/or any opinions on Bauer.
Thanks Mav.

Mav-
Bauer makes an excellent reel...they were the original large arbor reel and began the trend that has taken over the industry today.

I've never fished them but have sold a good number of them...the cork on teflon drag is incredibly smooth and the very light click nicely complements the smoothness of the drag.

My only problem with the Bauer's, is the silent retrieve. Just like I must have a click on the out, I gotta have a click on the in...it is just too odd to myself to have a silent retrieve.

The MX's are great too because the drag adjustment is incredibly large and thus easier to grip and is on the outside of the frame, not on the spool like the M, MXP, LM and JM series!

Are they as durable and bulletproof as an Abel, Tibor or Loop Evotec?? Some say no...others say yes. They do not have the perfect track record that Abel's do when confronted with extreme fishing conditions and extreme fish but they come damn close!! \:\)

You'll be more then happy with the reel though!!
