Hey Todd, someone should run this down for fact checking. I read a few years ago that insider trading is illegal - unless you're a member of Congress, in which case insider trading is OK. It's hearsay, but in this screwed up world, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

It is, but it has been restricted...I think now if they make financial decisions based on classified meetings/information, then it is illegal.

I think that's the change that was made.

I am also certain that telling the American people that everything is A-OK to keep the market up long enough to tell you rich donors to get out of the stock market...like Burr did...is illegal, and any of the donors that followed his advice are probably guilty of insider trading, too.

I hope everyone who still thinks the seasonal flu is worse, and isn't taking care, is run down by a car first so they don't get a chance to spread it.

Also, if you look at the track we are on...the exact same one as Italy and Iran...and compare it to South Korea's trajectory, you get to see what actual leadership and response can get for you.

SK's first case and our first case were the same day...they've already flattened the curve, by testing often and early, and getting the sick and exposed quarantined as quickly as possible.

We heard it was "only one dude from China" and "we have 15 cases, soon to be zero!"...and how great the stock market is.

The US has blown right past South Korea and France on case count, and has gone up 3500 cases in 24 hours...that's about a 27% increase in one day, over a 60% increase in a few days...probably will pass Germany and Iran by this time tomorrow afternoon.

The US ranks a TREMENDOUS 32nd in the world for hospital beds per 1000 people...way behind South Korea, German, France, China, Hong Kong...like, way behind.

Even Italy ranks 26th, and the reason they are so overwhelmed by the pandemic is that they do not have nearly enough beds to treat the afflicted.

Maybe people can use their $12,000 Capitalist Checks to buy their own hospital bed.
