Hi all. A while back I promised some of you that I would insert a link to an article that I wrote for the Island Fisherman Magazine, once it became available online. It is not normal practice for them to release them so soon after publication, but the owner, Joel Unickow, has graciously agreed to let this one out for me. I will be writing several articles for the magazine, including one for the May issue --- 'Downrigger Wire Voltages & Why we Have Been Getting it Wrong all These Years'.
Future articles will not be shared publicly as this one, so I encourage readers to think about purchasing annual subscriptions. It is one of the top national fishing magazines with quality articles.
All questions about the article are welcome.
Be safe and healthy during this viral onslaught.
Enjoy

Here you go WDFW x 1 = 0. Everything you wanted to know about boat zincs. With Iwannagofishin's advice, I dialed my boat voltage in with a voltmeter and whiskey in hand. It was pretty much a fish catcher already, but checking the details added future confidence.
