You guys ever fished here?? How'd you like it? I know it's the "premier stream of the NW", but is that in an experts view only.... or could a beginner try it?

Thanks

Curtis

Rocky Ford is an interesting place. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes not. The trick for me has been to throw something that they haven't seen. There are huge fish there, but, it's kind of like fishing in the hatchery at times. I guess what I'm trying to say is: it's worth the trip because where can you catch a ten pound rainbows all day?

Rocky Ford is for everyone. There are times and places on the creek where you can cast size 22 emergers and dries all day on 7X, or you can chuck a 4 inch long bomber leech pattern with a 7weight, an 8 foot leader to 2X, and strip as fast as you can; it's whatever game floats your boat. Or you can cast scuds to fish with their noses in the mud rooting for these little shrimp, fish an egg pattern, woolly bugger, chrinomid, etc.

Give it a try and don't give up. One day the creek will beat you up and the next day it will give up a half dozen fish 22 inches or better.
