cuttin & pastin!

River Run Anglers is proud to announce a Day on the River with Robert Meiser

of R.B Meiser Fly Rods located in Medford, OR. The Mieser man will be

coming to town for the day bringing a quiver of Speyrods. And, yes, some

Switch rods! The Highlight of the day will be debut of the MKS series of

rods. MKS stands for Mike Kinney Special (Mike Kinney is a name that

synonymous with Speyrods and Guides of the Northwest). The collaboration of

Mike and others has produced a very good casting rod for the Northwest-style

of casting. Robert will be soliciting public input on these rods and some

other surprises.

Hours from 9:00 AM until we are done

Hey, Homey!

I think you left out a couple small details...like what day, and where?

Probably not a big deal...but, hey! it might get a couple more people to show up if they knew those things!

laugh

Fish on...

Aaron has this every Saturday, this was a special day (yesterday) I wasn't able to make it (sick) but was told that 30 - 40 guys did.

See Todd if you where a spey-rod bum you would now that kind of stuff!

H2H,

I was on my way home from the Methow and decided to stop short and take in Aaron's Spey casting session Saturday. It was a large turnout, with more rods than usual to play with. Meiser brought several prototypes. I only wish my Spey casting technique was sophisticated enough to appreciate the nuances in these state of the art rods. Yet my personal collection grows - two new CNDs and a couple "inherited" from an elderly friend who no longer can get out and fish.

It was a great session, lasting well into the afternoon, so I got lots of good practice.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Sounds great!

Now we have to get Todd and DH into two-handed rods!

H2H,

Todd already does use two handed rods. Haven't you seen, his rods have really long handles, with plenty of room for two hands. He just uses a different kind of reel, a different kind of line, leader, and fly, you might say. And very short, dense, grey shooting heads.

When The Meiz got home, he was still bubbling like a brook! Had a wonderful time (told everone, every detail ... at least twice) not only with the Aaron 'Clave, but the fishing that followed.

Living 15'ish minutes from Bob's home I get to 'test drive' a lot of the new rods. My claim to fame on these is I don't just 'cast' the rod ... Ive got a leader and one/two feather bricks tied to the end.

Found far too often that a good casting rod can be very limited in it's fishing ability (lifting tips/heavy fly(s), etc). Last one's I got to play with where his two new 6 sectin 16 footers.

CANNONS!! hello zip
