It is a sad commentary on the options we have. But, he's not Trump and that is all that matters.
What scares me is the we will throw out the GOP and the D's will be just as bipartisan as the GOP was.

The problem with the R's & D's is they cater to the edges (extremes) in order to get enough votes to get/remain in power and then beat each other over the heads with the politics of each others' extremes. This leaves them so pissed at each other they then will not work together to serve the needs of most of us reasonable people somewhere in the middle. This leaves many of us choosing the lesser of two evils while holding our noses and others following them out to the edges of the left and right.
At what point will they both leave enough of us disenfranchised for there to be room for a third party that can represent the majority in the middle. Where's the party and the leader most of us can get excited about supporting based on common ground and common needs of the people. I'd personally love to see the R's & D's booted to the extremes they've both courted and a majority party rise up between them.

If you want a third party that represents the more moderate components of both parties you will have to build it from the bottom up. Until you get those folks into city, county, and state governments it won't fly nationally. Elect better Congress critters. A strong congress can better control an idiot president from either side. Make the extremes unelectable.
Which is why, consistently, WA does not elect a GOP Governor. To get nominated, the candidate has to cater to the extreme right. The Dems just have to avoid looking really stupid. Really, really stupid.
