Like other dazes these should be held at some other time. Having this type of event right smack in the middle of steelhead season pretty much assures that folks like me will not attend.

I work about 50 hours a week and have only 2 days off each week if I am lucky. This works out to be a finite number of days during the steelhead season which I can fish and I will fish all of them. I will not waste a single day to go watch a few people who can cast and a whole lot of people who can't cast.

If these events were to be held after the steelhead season ended I would be more willing to show up.

Do they do these types of spey claves in Europe ? Never heard one talked about on the Euro boards. Must be an american thing ?

Don't think it would be acceptable for a tv medium except for us very few speyers.

Cheers
