Not to sound like Toff, but anyone that jumped on the Trump Bandwagon and ran their campaign as Trump did, pre and post results, deserves everything they got and will have coming to them.

You guys probably know my distaste for Dimslee by now, but I was flat-out amazed by the traction Culp gained throughout the R-party?! Even before the primary, I was wondering "who-da-fuk" would saddle up with a one-horse Sheriff from Republic (and I LOVE Republic!) to try to beat "The Machine"?? I was perpetually spellbound by the outward and unwavering support he received from alot of my peers. While I was in the "anyone but Dimslee crowd", being honest with myself, I knew Culp had no chance to actually win unless Jay cut himsel with a razor.

I'm not thinking Inslee is anybody's first choice, but yes, it was obvious Culp had no chance.

Over here locals "knew" Culp would win. They were shocked when it wasn't close.

Well I wouldn't be too hard on locals,they are just following their beliefs.

I'm guessing state Republicans backed Culp because he was a Republican and most conservatives would support and vote for any Republican, regardless of lack of qualifications.

The GOP in WA tends to run far-right candidates for Governor. They get 40% of the vote, or so. I remember when Ken Eikenberry made Mike Lowry, with his Yasser Arafat beard, look like a middle-of-the-road moderate. As long as they nominate someone totally acceptable to that far right group, they'll get their 40% even if the Dems nominate Bozo the Clown.

He was a trump supporter, trump supporters supported him. Just as with trump, logic, qualifications, intelligence or ability had nothing to do with it.

That being said, he did debate well and came off better than the average trumpdumpster.

Culp was just being silly with his tag along law suit, wanted his fifteen minutes of fame to be sixteen if trumps silly law suits got any traction.
