This is going to be a real problem for gun manufacturers. Over 90% of the guns in this country are purchased by less than 10% of the population, and multi-gun owners tend to be feckless and lazy white males of below average intelligence who use their guns as totems to try to maintain an image of themselves as people who have a high degree of personal agency and self reliance. Because those individuals spend so much time caressing their firearms while obsessing over bloody revenge fantasies against all of the people who they imagine have wronged them, marketing to that audience requires gun manufacturers to use highly provocative advertising with militant overtones. This case is effectively limiting the ability of gun manufacturers to market their products to those stupid, lazy and ineffectual males like the Gravy Seals and Meal Team 6.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out...we've recently seen what the low-IQ crowd will do when sold a made up story by a wannabee tinpot despot, and advertising is about selling a story...they will have to be careful about what story they are selling, I guess.
On a related note, the "new" Remington Arms is not honoring any warranties on existing firearms, even brand new ones...which I unfortunately found out after buying one a few weeks ago, brand new, that needs some adjustments to a stuck shell catch.
Hopefully my smithy can fix it, as parts are also unavailable.
I don't want to regret that purchase, it's a beautiful little gun.
Fish on...
Todd

Just making stuff up. Neat. Is this meant to be a topic about blacks and cities with strict gun ownership?

Just making stuff up. Neat. Is this meant to be a topic about blacks and cities with strict gun ownership? No. Gun manufacturers are shielded from liability for what people do with their guns, in a general sense, but the plaintiffs in this case (Sandy Hook parents) sued them under a state law that prevents deceptive advertising. In a nutshell, the plaintiffs alleged that Remington marketed the firearm as a militaristic weapon for civilians to use to play army with, and Remington settled that lawsuit for for $33 Million this morning. Beezy can correct me if I'm wrong, but what I think he is saying is that if your marketing plan is to tell low IQ morons that they can have all the chicks and a giant peepee by dressing up like Navy seals and carrying a gun, and low IQ morons do that and kill someone, then an avenue has opened up that could really come back to bite manufacturers. Fish on... Todd

I wonder who will pay them considering Remington went BK and was divided up into sectors with Vista out doors taking ammo and marlin taking the gun piece..

Not one person should own a gun in the US. Guns kill people!!!! I no longer own any guns. They all fell overboard when a White Squall (Is storm racist now?) hit me when out fishing in Puget Sound. I mean sure, I'm guessing a few soldiers in a few past wars beat the wholly hell out of their enemy and crushed their skull with the butt of their rifle, but I thought bullets did the actual killings? And no, attaching a bayonet to a rifle and eviscerating your enemy doesn't count as the rifle killing someone. That was the bayonet. Am I missing something? Want to stop guns killing people? Get rid of the ammo and reloading supplies. .....and in the future, Mexican cartels will no longer need to ship drugs to the US. They'll ship ammo. I almost feel sorry for the future ammo runners who have to shove a crate of 7.62 Ammo up their ass.

Ammo is the killer not a gun and 7.62 in a bung hole I'm guessing is fairly uncomfortable.... Phwew glad that's settled, I was loosing sleep!

Fish on... Todd In a nutshell, fda has approved the vaccine for emergency use, however every fuking scared rat runs and takes the jab. Remember wearing a mask and you're safe Fauci say, so why not wait until the final approval is done? I know why, because most of you are sheep!
