I didn't get any, but saw a few hooked. Looked like they were summer fish. A little rain wouldn't hurt. Water was very clear. Quite a bit of pressure there also.

I have a kinda off the wall question.
What does the board think of trying a small plug in Tokul? It seems the way it is fished that this might be something to try.

Tried that already but lost my plug, you might be better off trying that down by the eddy.

Did that a few year's ago. Not on the creek thou, don't know how you could make it work. To shallow and fast! I did it on a med.-high water day, casting of the point between the mouth of tokul & main stream snoq.Think I was using a med. size wiggle-wart with a single hook, got a small hen about 6-7 Lb. Trick is to pick a color that works with water color & time of day, also very slow retrieve! go get em, chromer

Hey Partner,
I fish Tokul alot when I want to stay around home base... the best method here is regular drift gear with a short leader... 10"-12". I use bubble gum pink yarn with some smelly jelly.. just a little piece of yarn will do and you will do just fine! the fish are just trickling in now so dont get discouraged! and leave that damn plug or license plate at home! guys will laugh you off the creek! these fish are alittle timid when they get out of that big river water, so small is good here bro! I will be there tonight after work!!

Listen to bowhunter. He's got the program. 6" of leader is not too short also the fish have only a few inches of water. also go with a little heavier line and leader 12 and 10. When you get one on there's not a lot of room to follow one and the current is strong. There's a bit of horsing going to get them in.

Good luck
