to enjoy the lights and winter there. Of course their winter is a lot like as here. Snow, Freeze, and thaw/rain over and over. Does anyone on this site live in Anchorage? I would like to meet all of you folks(southern). Please let me know as I leave in about a week.

Hi there Cameron...Going to Anchorage to enjoy the lights and the winter here? LOL....what winter, have not seen a good light show yet,as far as snow goes Anchorage has about 5" and the temp here is warm.Right now it is 10 degs outside, should be around 20 below this time of year.Head out to the valley or down to homer or somewhere in that area, because Anchorage is just another big city, and like all big cites it sucks! If you hit a good day drive north on the parks hwy to get a good look at the great one.e-mail me ,maybe I can show you around the valley.

Always liked the Great Alaskan Bush Company. Hunter Thompson said it best "when the going gets weird the weird turn pro". The girls in "The Bush" are " weird "! Not a family oriented place but it is an Ak. icon.

Good call Native. I was impressed with the talent level they pulled into that place. When we were there it was the middle of summer and the workers were imported from Vegas. A good wholesome place to skoon down a beer!
