Ah we are back but the FTC thread is not so I started over until it is fixed.

So update August storm got a bunch of fish up stream especially Chinook. Posted a video of some holding.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX8TtiYqqk4

After the rain it was a steady trickle of Coho so good fishers did OK others not. Lot of dark Coho around but it rained too early.

So the QIN’s first 2 days were a real bust way below expectations for both Coho & Chinook.

The next 4 days were better but bad tides low catch so most set nets pulled a day early and all the last half day but drift nets stayed fishing.

This week’s set okay is what I got but not good or outstanding. A larger than normal number Coho that are colored. Bunch of pink bellies.

State creel checks for the bay was good and I was told that a lot of fish hanging around and the number of colored Coho sort of verify that thought.

The lack of fish showing in tide water around Central Park is strange.

What's really needed is an I situational memory file. All the weekly catches by both net groups, all the sport sampling by date, location, tide level, and so on.

Way back when the weekly Fraser sockeye meetings spent the morning going over all the current year data (test fisheries, commercial catch, passage at Hells Gate, stock composition, flows, temperatures, ocean conditions, diversion) and then we looked back at historic data which in some cases went into the late 1800s.

When did in-season updates part of the process was to check with the field guys to understand what they were seeing. Yeah, we had numbers to use but the actual and historic data had to support actions.

For some reason the tool bar to post on the FTC thread just disappeared. You can post through topic options but that doen't work all that well.
