Here's some interesting content that doesn't hold back on attacking the failed fish program leadership of Kelly Cunningham. This was the =AZb8zYTHYiM40vEOeXTRjEaxtT9wK8GXhiTwirP...test post today of which it seems he's caught the attention of Mr. Cunningham. I hope Badger Fishing keeps this up. If there is one thing Kelly does care about, it's his personal image and what people say online about him and his management decisions. I've heard him tell his own staff in fish division meetings that we don't need to do XXX differently or improve XXX, we just need to do a better job of telling the public and they need to understand what we do better. Here are the links to his various accounts. I hope he keeps this up. There should be plenty of material, given the amount of leaks within the Cunningham's fish program staff. https://www.youtube.com/@badgerfishingnw https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61585085017480https://www.instagram.com/badgerfishingnw/

Most of my stakeholder interactions were with commercials in PS. When I started it was during the Fish Wars and most everybody was pissed at WDF. My boss instituted a series of presentations for the folks where we laid out the legal requirements we had, the data and how it was collected, and how decisions were made. After that, the relationship was much better. Talked with many of them weekly with updates on the coming week's fishery. They certainly didn't always agree, and told us so. But we listened and they listened. Sometimes, they had some good ideas that were implemented. This was for WDF.
At the same time, WDG required at least field staff to attend the local sports club meetings. I know some WDG folks who were even presidents of some groups. Purpose was to know what stakeholders were saying.
I suspect that much of the problem now arises because of a clear lack of participation in the fisheries and lack of communication.
Just reading at least some of the comments here there is still a lack of understanding of what Boldt decided in '74; that's quite a long time not know what the rules are.

Kelly Cunningham is the Director of the Fish Program where he directs and oversees all aspects of the program, including the Fish Management Division, Hatcheries and Science Divisions. Kelly began his career with WDFW in 2012. He brought with him over a decade of executive management experience. Kelly holds Masters degrees in Environmental Studies and Public Administration. He is a lifelong recreational fisherman
and spent nearly 20 years as a commercial fisherman in Bristol Bay, AK.
Kelly resides in Olympia and enjoys fishing and spending time outside.

There was a time when the leadership (except for Director in WDF) were able to come up through the ranks from field activities to office activities. Now, I doubt that advancement pathway exists as the agency has other values rather than having touched the resource.

Is this real?! No way Mr. Cunningham would leave his Venmo public and make jokes about paying one of his employees for "Gayporn", would he? https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17mFnYLXha/If so, it has to be a violation of the state's ethics policy. But maybe not.

Its a fraudulent agency,, its a fraudulent state,, the cities and counties are fraudulent...
Its all fraud and theft,, nearly if not every program
We did not even elect the state and or local governments,, we only think we did...
The courts are nearly all compromised,, most judges compromised,, we are in a situation where the entire structure has been captured by a fraudulent occupation facilitated by election fraud...
for decades the fraud machine in Washington State has been using Fish and Wildlife to extort money,, sell resources for kickbacks,, steal and to assert controls over the people via ESA,, land management,, environment while at the same time never actually managing the resource...

Well lets hope Save passes in DC. Voter fraud is well known and going on since the chad thing with Bush versus gore.

Well lets hope Save passes in DC. Voter fraud is well known and going on since the chad thing with Bush versus gore. If voter fraud is so widespread and well known, please explain why the conservative Heritage Foundation reviewed a bipartisan review of voting from 1975 to 2022 and found only 77 fraudulent votes cast by persons who were not citizens of the U.S. Out of tens of millions of votes. Me thinks this is much ado about nothing.

I think back to the election that Rossi won two out of three times, but Gregoire still became elected. King County just kept finding votes until the Queen got elected. Smelled rotten then and still does. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want our elections to be as nearly perfect as possible. Mail-in ballots don't ensure that the person who's voting is the person who mailed it. I like in-person voting.

Know who paid for the third recount? There was an interesting piece on FB about Oregon's mail-in ballot history. It was a bipartisan effort aimed at ensuring that rural Oregon voters had easier access to the ballot box. In rural areas, it was (at least in Oregon) a long drive to polling places, during winter, and required a time commitment out of a more than likely self-employed day. One of the early bills, passed by their Leg, was vetoed by a Democrat governor.
I understand Tug's concern that signatures can be forged but the mail-in ballots sure seem to at least offer more register voters a more convenient voting process.

Maybe the Rossi - Gregoire election smelled rotten to some voters, but that doesn't mean that is was. Just like some election deniers (2020) actually believe Trump won, all kinds of audits and reviews have debunked allegations of fraud. In WA, investigators that included King 5 News, tried to track down every instance of alleged fraud statewide. In the end they came up with one Republican who voted twice. That's it; that was the extent of verified fraud.
I also don't understand why anyone wouldn't want elections to be fair, honest, and backed with integrity. Anyone other than Trump, of course. The guy is such a far gone megalomaniac that he cannot fathom that he could ever lose anything or ever be wrong. He is a sick man, yet he is the one with the nuclear codes. But I digress.
I also like in-person voting. It just feels right to me, probably because that's the way it was always done until changes were made around 25 or so years ago. Just because it has changed doesn't mean that it is any less accurate. Problems with mail in voting have been alleged, but none have been specifically identified or proven. The WA state auditor keeps close tabs on state elections, and the complaints have always been debunked. WA elections are monitored by representatives of both major political parties, and I'm confident that one would howl if they saw anything improper.
I never mail my ballot. I always take it to a drop box. They're pretty secure unless you have a lot of dynamite.

Nobody ever complained or tried to get rid of mail-in voting until Trump came into office. Where is fraud aver proven? After the 2020 Presidential election, 63 judges (some appointed by Trump) rules there was no widespread fraud and Trump still cries that he won the election six year later. The only people who bitch about fraud and mail-in voting are the sore losers.

C-man,
Thanks for the history lesson, I didn't know some of the details about the initiation of mail in ballots. Back in the day when in-person voting was the standard, I still voted in every election by Absentee Ballot when I was overseas in the Army.

As I recall, Abe won in '64 because of absentee ballots from the Grand Army of the Republic.
While I would prefer, especially now as a retiree, to vote in-person as I have the time I feel I cast more informed votes when we spend days going over the candidates and issues and maybe only mark a few spots per day.
I also seem to remember, and this would go back to the 50s, that at least in CA the state workers (and maybe others) got a half day off to vote.

I remember when Republicans favored mail-in voting. But those were the real conservative Republicans. They were not the Trump Republicans. I think people should have a choice to vote either in- person or mail-in. If you are able and can make it to the voting booth, great. If you are elderly, disabled , have no means of transportation or just live in a rural area, you should be able to do mail-in voting.

I have voted by mail for years but my vote is verified by signature. If you miss something ( which I did once ) you are sent a form to correct it. Vote by mail yes but it has to be verified just as Grays Harbor does not just blindly counted.

I have also voted by mail for years. Signature required in Pierce County. The reason Trump and the GOP want to eliminate mail-in voting in obvious.

Unlike GH vote by mail is carefully done and wrong ballots not counted is great but from what I have read other places just count the ballot without voter or signature verification. That is not a good thing from my seat in the bleachers.

"Mail in Voting"
its the voter turn out percentage that is the dead giveaway... Anything over 70% is highly suspicious...
14 counties in Washington State had over 100% turnout for the 2020 election...
239 counties nationwide...

“Judicial Watch announced today that a September 2020 study revealed that 353 U.S. counties had 1.8 million more registered voters than eligible voting-age citizens. In other words, the registration rates of those counties exceeded 100% of eligible voters.”
Looks like Rich G was right and Salmo was wrong again.(Rich is only sometimes right but Salmo is almost always wrong except for things related to fishery science.) It’s difficult to prove that fraud has been enough to sway any particular election, but it’s foolish to make the claim that there is little or 0 fraud. Salmo should re-evaluate his stance on this.

Since we live under and are governed under the "Rule Of Law" based on certain principal,, past practice and legal precedence there is no burden to prove that the proven election fraud has affected any certain outcome of any or all elections...
The way in which these elections are administrated,, laws pertaining to voter registration and the purging of such rolls and records,, it makes it impossible to pinpoint any specific outcome as the system is designed to cover itself and hide the criminal actions/intent...
Specific to Jefferson County because that is the county I live in,, having 111% voter turnout for the 2020 election... I went to some meetings with the republican party where the fraud was discussed,, some audits and investigations done by the members of the party.. What they found is that several residences in the county had between 25 and 150 individuals registered,, where ballots were being sent to those addresses,, many of the identities where registered in other states,, dead or were not verifiable to actually exist... Because of the legalities and the system regarding the voter rolls, vote records,, and a hostile auditors office,, the republic party in Jefferson County decided to not file any lawsuits or take their investigation any further...
"Clallam County had 96% voter turnout in 2020... If you rig Jefferson and Clallam in the 6th crongressional district you can control who wins the seat..."
So under the basic principals of our legal system "Fruits Of The Poisonous Tree" the fruit of a fraudulent election is Poison,, meaning the whole thing is bad,, poison and illegal and the outcome invalid due to a fraudulent process and criminal intent to defraud the public... The intent of a fraudulent election is to subvert the public's power and will,, to install a fake,, illegal electorate under the guise of a legal and fair process which is actually fraudulent where the outcome is controlled... The argument is that the whole thing is bad regardless if the fraud had a provable impact because the intent was to defraud... The proof is in the actions of the governments seeking to protect and hide their criminality,, to protect their stolen power...

Streamer More registered voters than voters is not uncommon. Not sure what the current rate is, but Americans are highly mobile and used to move on an average of once every 5 years. People register to vote at their new address when they move but don't bother to "unregister" at their old address. So there is a lag time until county auditors catch up and scrub names who no longer live there from the rolls. Salmo doesn't say there is zero fraud. Salmo accepts what the folks in charge of the elections say, which is that voter fraud is miniscule.

The argument is that the whole thing is bad regardless if the fraud had a provable impact because the intent was to defraud... The proof is in the actions of the governments seeking to protect and hide their criminality,, to protect their stolen power... According the the office of the WA Secretary of State, your voter turnout rates for Jefferson and Clallam Counties are incorrect. Jefferson was 90.06% and Clallam was 86.06% in the 2020 election. You need a better source to substantiate your claims of 111% for Jefferson and 96% for Clallam.

Salmo doesn't say there is zero fraud. Salmo accepts what the folks in charge of the elections say, which is that voter fraud is miniscule.
This is the problem. You trust people in authority positions who will always tell you there is never a problem, then routinely prove themselves wrong. Streamer

Unlike the MAGA cult, where Trump is proven wrong almost daily, yet the sycophants still kiss his azz.

Salmo,
You could get slapped in the face with the truth and still not see it. If someone with a D next to their name makes a statement, by default it must be true. There’s little hope for you.

The State of the Union Speech gathering sent one strong message: That very apparently Democrats don't care to put Americans first, only their party. What a shameful demonstration of ignorance and arrogance when they can't stand for the mother of the Ukranian woman whose daughter was murdered by an illegal alien on a bus. What would it cost anyone that was a democrat to at least stand up in respect? Even if you don't like Trump, where is the respect for the history and our traditions? "D's" should pay attention to Federman.

Remember during Biden's SOTU when no republicans stood? Has zero to do with putting America first or the Ukranian's woman's daughter and everything to do with refusing to stand with or for the current scum POS president.

So it sounds like you see that Democrats might possibly be as big of schit bags as Republicans? (They are slightly bigger schit bags.) Do you justify political tantrums and grandstanding? Reasonable people can give credit where it is due, even when it is from an opposing political party or for a cause that should unite people. Streamer

That’s right. It’s this all or nothing thinking people have that is really destroying us. It makes them miserable and it’s ruining our country. “I won’t stand for a victim of violence because I hate Trump” is a perfect example. Harboring resentment toward someone at the expense of something good. No wonder people are so miserable.

I may be old and losing my memory but I seem to recall Mitch McConnell saying the GOP would oppose any and every thing Obama proposed. I seem to recall he refused to even consider Obama's nomination for the Supremes when an election was in the offing but had no problem with passing on Trump's nominee even closer to an election. I also seem to recall that there was a bipartisan bill to deal with immigration that Candidate Trump ordered the GOP not to support. So, yeah, the R side really works well with others.

C'man. Obama was the one that amped up the division in this country. Remember when biden said we need new legislation to combat immigration? You know when they kaboshed everything trump did, on day one? And the largest influx of illegal immigration poured into our country, almost like it was done on purpose? Then when trump was reelected, the border situation was handled within a week. Without new legislation. Then the other night, the dems didn't want to stand with Americans. So who doesn't like working with others? Hope this helps.

President Reagan, “everything Liberals know is wrong “. Just like President Reagan had to fix all of the garbage carter screwed up , now President Trump has to do the same thing. Fix the Boarder, make our Military strong again, fix the completely Out of control crime in this country. Bring home the Hostages from Afganistan. Thanks for that Democrats. Oh and how many Brave soldiers died because of Dementia Joe ? And working to bring Inflation back down. Rounding up some of the most evil criminals here Illegally that not only were welcomed in by what Party ? And if that wasn’t bad enough, Openly Protected by the Democrats ! Protected ! So they could go on and Kill, rape and kill again. And if gets better, Bring in Tons and Tons of the most Evil Drugs and guns and Slaves into America. All of it Protected by Democrats ! And all of it is just the tip of the Evil Iceberg from the left. Just look at the crime that was protected by our wonderful Governor’s . The list is too long to put here.

Since Trump was handing out medals in his speech the other night and recognizing the families of deceased and wounded citizens, why didn't he do the same for the families of the two US citizens who were murdered in cold blood by the ICE thugs in Minnesota a few weeks ago? No mention.

People who say "If you are not part of the solution you're part of the problem." ARE the problem.
There is Way too much of that going on in all sides of the political spectrum! If you don't agree with them about everything, you are therefore not only wrong about everything, you are also obviously a communist or fascist [pick one].
Wouldn't it be nice if everyone would just dial it back a few notches so that we could try to look for solutions instead of just looking for someone to blame?

A psychologist friend who did relationship counseling used to say that instead of trying to win arguments, we should try to win agreements.

That's called a moderate, which few exist in all branches of government any more. I'm sick of the progressive left wing loons, and the trumpanzees's on the right. The pendulum is starting to swing. If it swings too far to left, here we go again. I hate how history keeps repeating itself. We're all smarter than that!
