Looking for a guide to do some sturgeon fishing on the lower end of the Cowlitz... Anyone with a number to help me out would be very greatful.

I can't remember his name, as it was a long time ago, but I fished the Columbia with a guide out of Woodland.

He worked out of the tackle shop right on the side of the highway at Lewis Falls.

Can anyone help out with the name of that shop?

The guide's nickname was Bear, and was he ever. He was all of 6'5" and 300 lbs.

He put us on 46 fish in about four hours.

He fishes the Columbia, Lewis, and Cowlitz.

Give Jim Workman a call at 425-271-9956. He fishes for the big sturgeon up by the dam and for keepers he goes down by Astoria. I don't know if he fishes the Cowlitz area. He has first class equipment and is a nice guy. My friends that have fished with him were very successful and enjoyed the trip.
