I would like to start buying line in bulk spools to save some money, but have been leary because I don't know how long it would keep its strength. If line is kept away from light and at a fairly stable temp., what is its shelf life? Thanks.

im not sure what the shelf life is but i keep my line in the fridge hoping that this may keep it usable longer. anyone else put there line in the fridge?

I bought 3 spools of maxima about 5 years ago. I change line twice a year. I haven't had any problems with it. I keep it in a dark cupboard out of the sunlight.
