The fish God's are upset. Kind of funny how they send signals to us sometimes, not to get all fundamentalist or anything, but I think it was a sign when the earthquake hits the very day before the North end river closures went into effect. Somebody is trying to tell us something....WDFW take note!!!

Hey Sakit2em. I was thinking the exact same thing. Then I also thought that it could be Loons first chromer of the year. Beats the heck out of all of those drop backs posted on her site. One way or another, the fish gods are torqued.

I know, I'm crazy, but I've always been superstitious which reminds me.....

Went fishing on the Quinault with Robbin Rhoades last week and Parker and I couldn't help but notice that he had not one, but two, two friggin' bananas in the boat. He even proceeded to eat them!!! Well, he hooked 5, I hooked two, Parker hit a single. Robbin talked about "banana mojo" which can be good if you give a piece of banana to a crow and it eats the piece of banana before you head out fishing. Then again, maybe we would have hooked 20 fish if he didn't have 'em on the boat.

I was looking at some Bass tackle in the Cabelas master catalog and I saw some lures that are actually BANANA SCENTED!!!!

What's up with that? I guess that I'm gonna have to start writing all this stuff down:
Fish for Salmon - no bananas
Fish for Bass - Smear bananas all over myself.
Fish for Taimen - Use bananas for bait in groundhog traps.

Sorry, Saukit2em, but I don't think the bananas had anything to do with it.

Since we floated the Quinault motor first, Robin had first water, you had second water, and I got sloppy thirds!

First water is everything on that river.

Parker

PS. Saukit2em landed a not-so-crhome 20-21 lb. *clipped* buck. You don't see too many clipped fish on the Quinault. Actually, of the 8 fish, 1 was definately a nate. The buck was clipped, but the rest were unclipped hatchery fish.
