Thanks Dan. I hope I didn't give away anyone's secret spot. It's probably not the most technical "how to" piece you could find but it was fun. And yup, I'm always looking for stuff to write for them. Got a couple things cooking from a recent trip up north but I'm always open to new ideas.

And I should clear up one thing - I am not from Kentucky. I am a Hoosier (native of Indiana) who grew up just across the Ohio River from Louisville KY and all its wonders; my favorite being Churchill Downs.

Hoosiers do not like Wildcats or Cardinals.

You got any scoops on midwest steelheading? I know Nick at STS is always looking to broaden his subscription base with midwesterners. I know that's a little north of your neck of the woods back there.

Dan, I never fished for steelhead back in Indiana but Hawk, another afflicted midwesterner, could point you in the right direction. I was only struck down with this addiction after moving West a few years ago. STS sells a lot of magazines throughout the Great Lakes region but it seems like Jim Beford is the only regular contributor from that neck of the woods.
