Nice article. Well written and interesting. Are you planning on writing for STS again?

The new issues are out? I haven't seen it on the newsstand or at home yet.
Thanks Dan. I hope I didn't give away anyone's secret spot. It's probably not the most technical "how to" piece you could find but it was fun. And yup, I'm always looking for stuff to write for them. Got a couple things cooking from a recent trip up north but I'm always open to new ideas.

The secret's out now, I'm sure that place is going to be crowded from now on, just leave it to someone from Kintucky. Seriously, nice article I can't wait for the wind to start cranking them out. Have to start working out to get ready for those hikes out of the canyon.

The mag was waiting for me when I got home last night. Thanks for the kind words guys. And I should clear up one thing - I am not from Kentucky. I am a Hoosier (native of Indiana) who grew up just across the Ohio River from Louisville KY and all its wonders; my favorite being Churchill Downs.
Hoosiers do not like Wildcats or Cardinals.

Bruce, Whew......thanks for clearing up that matter. We already have one redneck running around here (hey y'all), and I was thinking two might be a crowd . You got any scoops on midwest steelheading? I know Nick at STS is always looking to broaden his subscription base with midwesterners. I know that's a little north of your neck of the woods back there. Keep up the good work, I'll look forward to seeing more articles from you in the future. Fish on........

Bruce, great article....
Major Brown and I read it at Forks this last week. We had a great time. You are going to love the Rainshadow rods. Ask the Major about the hen I caught, wasn't as big as yours, but for a hen it was awesome.
Once agin, great article.

Dan, I never fished for steelhead back in Indiana but Hawk, another afflicted midwesterner, could point you in the right direction. I was only struck down with this addiction after moving West a few years ago. STS sells a lot of magazines throughout the Great Lakes region but it seems like Jim Beford is the only regular contributor from that neck of the woods.

Midwest Steelheadin' = head to Michigan. Drift a wiggler fly, spawn sac, spinners, or whatever else you would use out here.
2 rednecks are a crowd? R U kiddin' me? Sounds like a drunken ho down to me....and I mean all ho's down.
