In just a couple of hours, I will be taking off on a 1500 mile round trip 5 day steelheading marathon. As soon as my fresh sand shrimp arrive from Teds' I will be heading over and fishing two rivers in Wisconsin, and 5 different ones in Michigan. Looks like 18 hours of fishing and 6 hours of max sleep per day. (Legal to fish all night in Michigan) Lighted floats, luminescent jigs tipped with spawn bags, or wax worms, lit up with a camera strobe can be the ticketFinally got our spring freshet, and they are piling in the rivers at a steady pace. Will let you guys know how the shrimp work. The fish will either go nuts and gobble them up, or high tail it back to the lake in fear. I'll even run a few wormies to see if they hammer them too. Will post some pics, and if Bob lets me, I'll try and figure out how to put together a mini Midwest Zipperlip journal for your viewing pleasure. Oh, and by the way, Thanks to the boys at Teds (Rat and Sparky) for putting together the shrimp for me. There are quite a few natural spawners in the Michigan tribs, so they'll all be released, but there will be a few hatchery fish headed for "further processing". Peace.

Hey Hawk, is one of the Wisconsin rivers the Racine? Just curious, I've been there, and definitely not a zip river. I would assume you are heading up towards DOor County for the other (or both).
