Just wanted to take a minute to say I'm fishing vicariously thru you all. Last Wednesday I encountered a fast moving Car into the rearend of my pick-up,needless to say,the impact has left me some what out of it...neck pain lower back and a headache that won't stop So that means I can't sit here for too long and rowing my Cat is not an option at all. Just trying to take it easy and hope things improve so I can chase the elusive Springer like the rest of you.....keep up the good work....try and leave a few for me.... Os

Hey Os, sorry to hear of your misfortune, and hope you feel better soon. You aren't missing much for now, though. We fished the springer "opener" on the Chehalis yesterday, without a touch. Quit by noon, and drove to the Cowlitz. It too was deserted, except for the "Deadline Bandits" at the barrier dam. Managed one hookup there that took me under the boat, around the pump, and off, on a gold spoon. Probably was a chinook, because it never broke water, just a flat out run up the river at warp factor 7. Did see a couple of small steelhead caught, though. Greg

Osprey sorry to hear that. Some folks just do not know how to drive. Well the river we fished is real slow now. I guess the fish are waiting for your return. We will have to go get them then you are better. Go to "bored' on the board and fish away.

Os, sorry to hear about your accident. It was about this time last year that I was recovering from a serious accident, remember that dilrod that totalled my Willie boat and me in the process? Screwed up my back too so I sympathize with you, man, hang in there. When you feel up to it, even though it may take a while, I'll take you in my boat so you don't have to row. Justin

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Justin, See....I TOLD you Os would resort to ANY tactics to get out of rowing. I think he's getting used to taking up residence in the front of a driftboat. Hey Os, if we set up a chaise lounge chair in the front of KidSauk's Thor, do you think you could deal with the pain and agony of fishing? Just kidding, man. Get well soon....I know how your demeanor changes when you can't go fishing. And NOT for the better........

Sparkey, you can fish with me in my boat anytime but for your own good I'm going to put you behind the oars. First, we'll have to start off on something easy like the upper Sauk, then we'll move on to bigger and better waters like your favorite little stretch through the Hoh canyon

Sorry to hear about your accident O's hope you get better soon.... Justin, I don't know if I'd let sparkey on the oars you saw that Bob had to use the oar of friendship on him when they went out. Now just imagine when he put your boat sideways goin down the upper Sauk And by the way according to a certain someone he can't even lift an oar let alone row Just joking sparkey but she sure like to give it to ya.. Thats perfectly okay... ...because as of last night she no longer has a message board. Yours truly got tired of the threats that resulted from her posting as myself after she took off the IP Adresses. So I notified fanspace.com and they sent her a nice little letter. So O's, you're saying you took it in the rear? Hope you get paid well, especially if you can't walk the same. Your dog never liked you, it just liked you wearing shorts and since you stopped, it doesn't like you....muh ha ha ha ha Hope you get to feeling better soon bro. Gotta fill me in on the updated legalities. Remember, if you need a star witness that was walking by that night, just give a brotha a call.

Sorry to hear that you are out of action O's. I kinda know how you feel as I just had neck surgery for a ruptured disc. I sure hope they gave you some good drugs and you have a really good Dr. to get you thru this bad spot.
As for fish stories. 4 days after surgery I was able to take the grandkids (4 years old) out in the sled on one of the "local" lakes for some nice rainbows. Gkids each got a nice rainbow of 18" on rapala's. Grandson had the quote of the day refering to the fight the fish put up. " Grandpa he tried to get away but I was to strong for him." Grandad had a deathgrip on the butt of the pole the whole time and grandma helped his 4 year old cousin net the fish. Boy they could not wait to show their folks what great fisherperson's they were. They slept the whole 3 hr trip home.
Good luck O's and get well soon I am sure the fish miss you.

Sorry but I was overdue, ya putz. I guess getting rear-ended like that would make standing there holding your rod a bit tougher. If not physically, the psychological damage. So you got rear-ended in the truck by the store. I guess that beats getting rear-ended at your driveway by your cat. 36" frame is a BIG cat.
