Just wondering if anybody has got any large steelies lately. I know its a little late for thoose big boys, even more so with the Sauk being closed but you never know. But now is the time of year for that 20# hen.

I myself havent been out much this month but have managed to pick up a few fish.

I recently landed one in the mid teens on the Knee stuck ah. We release all natives. The Nestucca and Tillamook area rivers have some good April native steelhead fishing.

Down on the Trask on Saturday and landed 3 in about 30 minutes!! All nates with my buddies forst steelhead ever going #16 pounds!! I got two #12 pounders. My brother went on Easter on got two about #8 in 2 hours! Thinking about going today too!!

Here I am replying to my own message! Went down to the riv again and got two more yesterday. Nothing big #6-#10 my buddy landed a jack about 20" long---can you say micro?

Not "lately," but 20lb+ hen and upper-teenager buck C&R'd a couple weeks ago on the peninsula.

Way to go you guys! Ive caught a lot of nates this month but I just cant land one bigger than about the lowd teens a couple times. I know a couple of them were really big that broke me off. Porbably 25ers. Not, but maybe close to 20. Still some time left for the big one.

Took a monster summer run out of a SW WA river. A 19 pound 39.5" summer run. Not bad after losing it's little sister right at the bank. May there be many other large summer runs to come.

We got this 18.5 lb hatchery fish on the Clackamas River a couple of weeks ago. This was his first steelhead. I thought style counted when fishing, but Gevin's hat says otherwise.

Got my first hen over 20# several weeks ago--she calculated to 21.5 lbs. My buddy got a red buck about 22lbs. All C & R natives. It has been a decent year for large steelhead. Let's hope the summer runs are healthy too!
