They go hand in hand right? Just as long as you don't drink and drive. Anyway what's your favorite beer? Here is my top 10
1.Sol - A Mexican Brew that is smoother than Corona.
2.Tecate - Another cerveza mas fina
3.Rolling Rock - Pennsylvania beer
4.Widmer Hefeweizen - Love that sediment!
5.Corona - Those brewers down in Mexico really have their act together.
6.Heinken
7.Red Dog - When quantity is more important that quality.
8.MGD - The only brew at the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival.
9.Henry's
10.Any beer you have in your fridge when I come over!
Okay there is my top 10 how about yours?

Well, i was going to be nice, but then I re-read your list... and I've got to ask, WHAT IN THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING??? All those beers you name are a grade above piss water in my book... you might as well chug the output water from the Weyerhauser plant in Longview... yuck!!
But, I guess it all depends on your tastes and on the weather... I like lighter beers in the hot summer, but never that light... so here's my picks, (of REAL BEER) from good to great...

10. Leon Negra (as long as we're talking Mexican beers)
09. Redhook ESB
08. Full Sail Amber
07. Deshutes Jubal Ale (when in season)
06. Deshutes Mirror Pond
05. Maritime Jolly Roger (when in season)
04. Guinness Stout
03. Deshutes Black Butte Porter
02. Deshutes Black Butte Porter
01. Deshutes Black Butte Porter

Black Butte Porter? Isn't that the same as tobacco spit? or maybe furniture polish. Good Lord dude! Do you own stock in Deschutes Brewery? Full Sail Amber is good but all that preppie-yuppie stuff you can keep.

Does RT bring beer? When?where? I once saw him buy a six-pack of the cheapest beer on the market. I thought he only drank that latte-mocha crap.

I think there is a big difference between "quality beer", which I can appreciate, and "quantity beer", which has it's time and place. I love the taste of any high quality micro, especially the really dark ones, but I have learned not to tie one on with them! Bud or Bud light taste fine after a few and don't give you a two day hangover. I swear that Hefeveisen turns into concrete in your stomach if you you're puttin' em away.

Hefeweizen: A slice of bread in every glass!
Now that's a liquid diet!

I guess it was margaritas RT brought, not beer, but I like them too! laugh

I completely agree with the quality/quantity issue that escapee brought up. A good micro with a good dinner is hard to beat, but pounding some pilsners during a football game with some smoked salmon on the side is pretty high on the enjoyment scale too!

Hey, if it's good.......it's better with beer! laugh

Hey Reel Stew:
Black Butte Porter and "tobacco spit" used in the same sentence??!!? Bite your lip!!
I don't own stock in Deshutes, but I probably should!
Preppie-yuppie stuff??!!
My ancestors (Irish) were brewing good beer only about 400 years before the word "yuppie" was ever used... you'll learn, someday, that REAL beer is made from malt, hops, water, yeast... and nothing else... no fri**in rice syrup, no extra crap... and I disagree with escapee, the rice beers give me a way worse hangover than micro-brews.
I also agree with Strike Zone, though... I'll take a whiskey on the rocks before a beer anyday.

I'm tellin' you guys ya gotta try some of that Mexican beer. When your slammin down a burritto or some fajitas there is nothing like a Dos Equis,Tecate,Sol,Pacifica Clara or of course Corona. I would have put Nor'Wester Hef on my list but I believe they went out of business.
Now here is the list of worst beer.
1.Brew 102-Without a doubt the absolute worst, cheapest beer ever made.
2.BEER-You remember that generic crap in the white can.
3.Strohs-Upset my stomach and that's hard to do.
4.Bohemian-Not far above Brew 102
5.Olympia-Is it me or is this beer green?
6.The stuff RT bought at that little store in Tillamook and took to Jennies.
7.My neighbors home brew that we used to sneak drinks from when I was a kid.
Remember you don't buy beer you just rent it

Back before it was legal for me to drink I had a forty of OE800. It was the weekend after I recovered from a really bad flu and for dinner that night I had some candy red hots. The beer was warm. On the way down as well as the way up.

Haven't had a beer since. I feel like I'm probably missing something, especially the way that Samuel Adams guy talks about beer, but I'll stick with my water.

I love a good heavy IPA. But tieing one on does leave a good headache, not to mention the heavy beers don't really help the ole' swimsuit figure.
I love a ice cold mexican beer. Grew up in Tri-Cities, so I have a soft spot for SCHMIDT.

Since 1855, the finest ingredients.......All you schmidt drinkers should remember the brewers pledge. smile

Beer...it's what's for dinner.

Anyone who can make a list of 10 beers they like obviously didn't drink enough beer or they make way more money than I. Here's the beer.

Coming in at a standing ovation would be:

1) CORONA

Let's see: then I guess there would be

Heineken (of course I didn't buy it)
Rolling Rock (my beer of choice in bars in college)
I don't remember much about those other Mexican beers so I guess I really liked them too. Labatt's is pretty good, but it's Canadian.

Henry's sucks a big one and I don't mean Bob.

Then for mid-quality caliber would be the Bud family.

Then for quantity would be Busch Light and Natural Light. If you stray from the "Lights" in these calibers you'll be hurting.

Since O's listed a chick beer (wonder why?) I would have to go with Smirnoff Ice, that shiznit is good and for the price, I'd pick it over Mike's, Ricky's, Johnny's, Terry's, Bobby's, Joey's, etc. hard lemonades.

Microbrews are nice in a pitcher, and even better if there's a pitcher special that night.

Of course when all else fails, grab some moonshine laugh However, do not urinate near a campfire.

Parker's Top-10 Beer Selections

Obsedian Stout
Guiness
Beamish
Black N Tan (Guiness n Harp)
Mirror Pond
McTarnahan's
Paulaner Octoberfest
Maritime Pacific Flagship
Corona with a lime wedge

But, on a day like today, you just can't be a nice ice-cold margarita! Here's a couple of proven recipes that I swear by!

From the alt.fan.jimmy-buffett FAQ, but slightly modified by Parker:

2.6 How do I make the perfect margarita?

_The Road to the Perfect Margarita_
Our journey starts...

1. Fill shaker with broken cubed ice.
2. Squeeze TWO fresh lime wedges into shaker.
3. Savor the fresh lime aroma (AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!)
4. Add 2.5 oz. Hornitos %100 Pure Agave Tequila.
5. Sniff the cork.
6. Add 1-1/4 oz. of Roses Lime Juice (accept no substitutes!).
7. Add 1/2 oz. of Bols Triple Sec (nothing but the best!).
8. Add "a splash" of Bols Orange Curaco (shh... secret ingredient).
9. Cover shaker tightly!
10. Shake vigorously.
11. Flip shaker in midair twice (three times if you're a pro).
12. Uncover shaker and savor the flavor!
13. Rim glass with Lime peel (outside only!).
14. Salt the outside only.
15. Add fresh ice.
16. Strain mixture over ice.
17. Squeeze in 1 lime wedge and toss rind over left shoulder.
18. Now kick back, turn up the Buffett and enjoy!

Here's a blended recipe back from my college days:

Pepe's recipie is:

1 12 oz. can Minute Maid Limeaid.

9 oz. Tequila

3 oz. Triple Sec

In a blender, pour in the can of Limeaid. Take the can that you just
emptied in to the blender and add in 9 oz of the Tequila and 3 oz of the
Triple Sec. For the bartending impaired, that's fill the can 3/4 full of
Tequila and 1/4 of Triple Sec. Pour the full can of booze in to the
blender. Blend until all ingrediants are combined. Turn off blender.

Pour half of the contents of the blender back in to the 12 oz. can. Save
for round two.
Fire up the blender. Slowly drop in small cubes of ice. Keep blending
and keep adding small quantities of ice until the blender is almost full.
At that point, the whirlpool that is created by the blending action of the
blender will begin to collapse. Stop blending and adding ice when this
whirlpool just collapses and does not reappear.

Serve in fancy schmancy glass with a straw.

Repeat blending/icing process with left over can of booze mix for round
two.
