Curt, first they will have to have a river open for them. I haven't heard of any of those. If there are, the socks are more challenging to catch coming fresh up a river thatn the other salmon or steelhead. They are often non-biters until they get higher up the rivers and start holing up. Then they will bite spoons/spinners and flies, and also just on steelhead type drift gear with eggs. ... The best place to catch them in Washington is in Lake Washington trolling a pair of shrimp scented plain 1/0 red colored hooks behind a flasher - 50' to 80' deep. Has anyone heard conjecture about another sock season this summer there?
