Cant beleive this weather.actualy ended up a little burnt. We got 4 today, 2 hatchery and 2 natives so it wasnt all bad.we now have boated over 50 fish this spring been incredible. really getting spoiled this year. How did those of you who fought the crowd at bonneville do? we fished mid river never did see a good bite get started just a fish here and a fish there.

Firedog, we did similar while fighting the crowds of bumper boats up at Bonneville. Only took us 1 1/2 hour to launch rolleyes - some way down the line after us took 3 hours to get into the water, until 8:00 or so. The dam counts had dropped to 1/3 of what they had been when the fishing was hot a couple weeks ago. (Details in my 'Bonneville... info?' post).

It was such a great day to be outdoors the fishing almost didn't matter. Almost smile . So nice it was harder heading to work the swing shift! We fished close to Portland with out much launch time and got one keeper spring salmon today. One other strike is all. Nothing much better tasting out there!

RT, Tha tis what I heard from a couple buddies who fought the crowd up there also. Said they got 5 fish and had to deal with that mess. We were very happy with our spot. Never had to drop off anchor to land any of our fish. Will take that any day over that crowd. To be honest with ya kind of happy to see fishing drop off a little then it gets back to the regulars fishing and the ones who jumbed on the band wagon to "try" and catch salmon go home.
