My best advice is to look at the fish, not the camera, and second tilt the head of the fish towards the camera. After looking at the gallery it seems we need some work. Keep 'em in the water till the last second and let 'em go.

Keep the boots on your feet!

Good advice. I would add that it's best to keep the fish's side square to the camera. If the back is turned more toward cam it won't show as bright; and conversely if the belly is turned more toward the cam the flashbulb can make it too bright and you lose the lateral line contrast. For SAUKit's fish, these things don't matter. See "Boot Wars" laugh They just need a professional chrome air brushing.

I would add to make sure that the sun isnt behind the person whose picture is being taken. Cut down on the shadows that way. If the sun is behind the camera person then you get the sun reflecting off the fish, as long as the fish is bright enough to reflect smile
