I have to say it's a bit suprising to see the M's at 20 & 4. I like that a lot! Mainly because they have achieved this after losing the 'big unit' Johnson ... let me rephrase that ... after losing Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr, , and A Rod. Good team chem and all out hustle effort every game goes a long long ways! Take notice Bob Whittsit.

Early Mojo for the Ms. Boone, Suzuki, and Olerud are all in the top 10 in batting average in the AL. Mini-slumping Edgar is still around 300 and Cameron is not far behind. Even Mclemore is getting into the act. I just hope these guys aren't playing out of their minds, only to return to earth later.

I think the bigger park and the lack of heavy hitters are making the team take shorter more controlled strokes, hitting for average instead of the fences. The great pitching has also got to be a plus for the offense--no need to run up those large scores.

Last time Pinella had a start like this was when he took the Reds to the pennant in 90. Dare to hope, could this be the year?

As fishermen we're eternally optimistic. As a longtime Cubs fan, I'm nuts. So here goes - Cubs and Ms in the World Series. Cubs in seven would be heaven.

It seems like most teams are built around 1 area of stregnth. The M's seem to be strong in all areas.

I would like to see them make a move for a guy that can hit around 285 or 290 with 25 homeruns and play left field everyday (Al Martin sucks and Sanders isn't ready). Bone's return will help, but he is basicaly a role player/pinch hitter for the rest of his career with Ichiro in town.

Al Martin is capable of hitting atleast 300 and having a 20 homer 100 rbi season. He has the ability. He proved it in the NL but has yet to prove anything in the NL. My problem with Martin is that he can not play the field.

Al Martin is the new replacment for Bobby Ayala. And to think he blamed his bad year on his eye site, to which he has had Lasik eye surgery during the off season . Sure has helped!! Goooo Ichi-Rod and
