Im getting set to order a new sled. Ive heard bad things about EZ Loader trailors, But dont really want to fork out another $1000 for the custom NR trailor. Theses are the 2 choices I have. Anybody have a EZ Loader? Any Problems?

I've used one for about 14 years on our 16 footer. It worked real well until about 4 years ago when one of the wheels on the back came off when we were loading the boat. Note: sharp metal corners are not good for the bottom of a boat. After we had that replaced it has worked fine. The only disadvantage to them is the high number of moving parts which means lots of things can break. If you take care of it it should work fine (I hope).

I had one for about 7 years. It worked great until one day when I was driving down a paved road that had some small up and down hills on it about every 100 feet or so. I looked back in my rear view mirror and noticed that the bow of my boat was moving up and down. By the time I could stop, the tongue of my EZ loader broke in haft. You would have thought that you could have seen a crack before it had happen. Though no fault of mine, the crack was right under the u-bolt that holds down the winch raiser. The problem was that the tongue was made of to lit of metal. It was a piece of 3x4 metal channel that was bolted to the other sections of the trailer frame. I would not by another EZ loader trailer unless they have changed the size and construction of the tongue. Other then that it worked pretty well. If your boat were heavy, I would spend the extra money and get the trailer that was designed to fit and carry your boat and its total load.
