The wife has decided that we need to learn how to run rivers in cataraft. To this end I have been searching for an outfit that teaches novices how to handle moderate rapids. I would like to find something in Southern Oregon but have not seen anything on the web anywhere. Have seen lots of sites for river rafting but not sure that they would be what i want. Thanks for any input.

Well, if you weren't in Nevada, I could help you out. But on your remark about rafting, they'd actually be the way to go. Go to http://www.nwrafters.org . They're a whitewater organization mainly in Oregon. Yet they have members in most of the Western states. They have members that run catarafts as well as rafts. Running a cataraft down a river is no different in fishing as whitewatering. You take slots the same way. Only difference is you long to hit the whitewater in the rafting world, long for the holes in the fishing world.

Good luck. If you search enough, you'll find what you're looking for.

email me if you have any other questions

Jerry
