Hey C&D, I guess you gave too strong of a hint about my egg cure secret - so here it is ... I put a legal powder in it that acts on fish like a cocain OD. The unagressive non-biters that are just sniffers come up a few inches behind a cluster and just rollover belly up for a snooze. Easy pickens. I will bring some more up to the W this fall when ya get back from AK. Have a good one up there and don't lift too much.

The M's really have put together a team of winners. Sele and Olerud were great acquisitions and they're not greedy. Just gotta love those Wazzu guys. Went to the game last Thursday and also went a month ago when the M's lost to Toronto in the home run derby.

Has anybody had any luck on summer runs? I had some luck last time out but not very many fish. I need to post my pics. Either fishing is slow or its picking up and nobody wants to talk about it.

What's funny is that the Mariners have more wins than the Reds(Griffey) 23 and Rangers(A-Rod) 20 combined.

They finally have a decent bullpen but their starting rotation is nothing to write home about. Ichiro is a shoo-in for ROY but ya gotta admit these guys are playing way above themselves. As for the Dodgers well they may take the NL Wild Card but they won't win the series....yet. Lasorda really messed them up. Tell you what Yall you name the bet, and no it won't be me nude wearing a M's hat, but maybe a fifth of our favorite adult beverage and I don't mean corn mash neither.

I think the real trick here is that they aren't relying on a couple of big stars to pull them through. Look at the yankees a couple of years ago, they smoked everyone with players that were just a bit better than average. The trick is that its a "team" sport.
I think they should have kept Johnson. He got ticked because he wanted more money,they told him he had to prove himself. He had proven himself. How many times has he dominated a season with strikeouts? How many Cy young awards has this guy won?
Back problem?? He's still doing good. He still doesn't get many wins, but his team doesn't bat all that well. Heck when the team you're playing only scores 2 runs and you lose it, it's hard to get to many wins.
