i was looking in a bass pro catalog and saw a color indicator,you drop in in the water and it tells you what color has the most visibilty for the color of water you are fishing.any body used or had success with one of these intruments.sounded interesting but the price was around 40 bucks.scott

A "friend" of mine bought one of them "color-c-lectors".Every time he dropped it in the water it said to use Gray.He bought every gray steelie lure in western Washington and believe me that's alot of Sammy Specials and Gray Ghosts. Story short,it sucked.

I bought one of those fancy color-c-lector contraptions back in about 85' when I was really into bass fishin'. Just like most fishin gear, it is designed to catch fishermen not fish.
