It doesn't take long to rack up losses, even if you don't carry so much as a dirty comb, or an ashtray full of pennies. Smashed window, lock core ripped out of the door, hood popped and your favorite engine parts removed. Nice rims, they didn't look that good on your car anyways. Factory stereo...maybe worth a buck or two...lets take it. Hey, what's with all that wiring attached to the stereo??? Just grab them and pull, they'll come out along with every other important wire in your dash. Hell, lets cut the seats open to see the filling inside. Nice 49.99 dollar Radio Shack C.B., might get 3 bucks at the next swap meet. Might as well rip the antenna off for the C.B. On the way out grab the rear-view mirror...you never know when you may need one of those.
I took my kids to a local lake fishing last year and this happened to the guys that parked next to me in the middle of the day. I hate leaving my truck parked at the boat launch for overnighters, for fear of these things happening. I had my truck broke into at work, my car ripped off in front of my house when I lived on the coast. Had two failed attempts where they ruined my locks and messed up the doors with there equipment. Once at a wedding reception and another time at a mall...both in Tacoma.
Trust me...the damage adds up fast even if you don't have anything of value inside the cab. The parts alone on your vehicle are worth a bundle to theifs.
It doesn't matter where you live or what you drive...some a$$hole crackhead is lurking in the bushes waiting for your stuff. I'm starting to get pi$$ed of again just thinking about this topic.
