This is the first year I have tried summer run fishing as I am usually working 6 days/week. Been out the last 2 Saturdays on the lower Sky and Snoho, lost one and saw very little being caught. Went out on the Snoqualmie today (more to play around than fish)and hit none, saw no other boats with fish. Just curious if it is too early yet or just my wonderful personality driving the fish away? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ever since the red hot opener the sky has not been all that great. Its definetly not too early, both of the hatcherys on the sky system that recieve steelhead see peak returns around the fourth of july. for the next week you would probably be best to concentrate around monroe of sultan, then start working you way up river.

I agree with Tombstone(sp?) on this one. The opener and the following 2 weeks were pretty good. The last week or so have been fairly slow. I saw one fish yesterday above highbridge for about 12 people. =( Rumor has it, reiter has a bunch of fish. WIth how good it was 2 weeks ago, you'd think the hatchery should have there 300 fish now? Water has dropped so the fish are probably coming in in small pods instead of big waves like the opener when the water was up.
