Fished the Sky today and saw several fish in the river that were very dark, almost black and appeared to be in the 10lb range. At first I thought they would be springers, but didn't think springers would get so dark so soon. Any idea what they were?

There are some pretty hefty sucker fish in the Sky. You'll see them flash as they forage along the bottom, digging between rocks. Before you get curious, don't bother trying to catch one. They generally aren't far from cover and they are adept at wrapping around logs, rocks, etc. Pain in the butt. Could be a different variety as well, but if you say they are dark, that's my guess.

Been seeing some dark downcomers in the river the last few trips. They seem to be sitting in the tailouts so that might be what your seeing.

Tight lines
