I had a 70 year old catholic priest from Minnesota on board Wednesday night. We went to Jeff Head for good crabbing and one small king. On the way back, we stopped at Yeomalt Point and put the two riggers down. As we made the first pass, I noticed a surface boil near the boat, and thinking silvers, put out the small trout rod (8 lb test) with 1 ounce weight and a herring - the rod went over immediately. 55 minutes later and about a mile south, Father Jim landed a piggly 25 lb king! It was an epic battle, first it snagged on one of the down rigger cables, then on the motor, managed to get it loose both times, then had it at the boat and tailed twice (won't put a king in the net) only to lose it and a bunch of line again.

The fish that literally took an "Act of God" to land!

Sounds like you can't lose when you have "one of da boyz" on the boat with you.
