When do the chinook and silvers start to show up at the campground, and is it a total snag fest.

Both Kings and Silvers are present in decent numbers by early September. By the I 5 bridge there is a lot of snagging that goes on. However there are some spots if look hard enough that are empty and having willin biters. Last year, mid October was the best time silvers.

Ditto. The snaggers near the I-5 bridge are unbelievable. I certinly hope they crack down on them this year. By early Sept. the Chinooks plus the early run coho will be there. They dispurse throughout the river very quickly so it's best to avoid the snaggers. Bring your nine-weight bug rod and try Beginners Hole (the flies only section). It's a kick.

By early to mid October the late run coho show up. Good luck.
